EcoQuest Corona Treatment System

The EcoQuest Corona treatment system is a highly effective method for increasing the surface tension of virtually any material. It is essential for treating plastic films and fabrics whose natural surface tension is too low to allow proper adhesion with flexographic inks.

This system enhances the surface tension of materials relative to inks by inducing molecular changes on the surface of films. This is achieved by exposing the air at the material's surface to a high-voltage electrical discharge, known as a corona. Today, corona discharge treatment at atmospheric pressure for improving the adhesion of various polymer substrates is a standard industry practice.
